Report on Engineers Day Celebration


Engineers' Day is observed on September 15th annually in India, in commemoration of the birthday of the renowned engineer and Bharat Ratna awardee, Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvarayya. This day recognizes his significant contributions in the field of harnessing water resources in India, which included designing and constructing river dams, bridges, and revolutionizing irrigation systems across the country.

At Global College of Engineering & Technology, Engineer's Day was celebrated on September 15, 2023, to honor the legacy of Dr. M. Visvesvarayya and to acknowledge the remarkable efforts of hardworking engineers each year. The primary goal of the event was to promote self-assessment, motivation, effective communication, and teamwork among the students.

Dr. Mithlesh Sharma, the Principal of GCET, addressed the students, urging them to consider Dr. M. Visvesvarayya as their role model, have confidence in their pursuits, and enhance their skills to meet global industrial demands. He also encouraged students to broaden their horizons and improve their abilities to achieve success.

During the event, some students expressed their thoughts on the role of engineers and their responsibilities towards society through speeches and poems. Dr. Deepak Kumar, Principal of GCOP, congratulated the students on this occasion and inspired them to contribute to society by following the path laid out by Dr. M. Visvesvarayya. The event was attended by all staff members and students.
