On 23rd January 2025, the Global College of Pharmacy commemorated the 128th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, a revered freedom fighter whose unmatched patriotism, bravery, and military acumen continue to inspire the youth of India. Netaji’s crucial role in India’s independence, alongside luminaries like Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, remains a beacon of inspiration for generations.
The event featured a lecture series that delved into Netaji's life and his pivotal contributions to the Indian freedom struggle. The celebration was inaugurated by J.S. Gill, Chairman of the Institute, and Dr. Sanjiv Duggal, Principal of the Pharmacy College. Dr.Duggal highlighted the significance of remembering freedom fighters like Netaji, whose relentless efforts helped secure India’s independence.
During his address, Dr. Duggal spoke in detail about the Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army) and Netaji’s iconic slogan, "Give me blood, and I will give you freedom." The program also included student speeches in various languages, shedding light on Netaji’s life and legacy. Additionally, a poster and slogan-writing competition was organized, showcasing creative tributes to the visionary leader.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Kajal, who expressed gratitude to the students and faculty for their enthusiastic participation.
