Introduction: On 20th March 2024, Global College of Engineering and Technology organized a free medical check-up camp at Village Kahnpur Khui as part of its community outreach program under Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan. The camp aimed to provide basic healthcare services to the residents of the village, especially those who have limited access to medical facilities.
Objectives:
To provide free medical check-ups and consultations to the villagers.
To raise awareness about basic healthcare practices and disease prevention.
To identify common health issues prevalent in the community and offer guidance for treatment.
Event Details: The free medical check-up camp was held on 20th March 2024 from 10am to 3pm. The event was well-organized by a team of medical professionals from Global Group of Institution , comprising faculty members, students and support staff from GCOP, Kahnpur khui and GCET, Kahnpur Khui.
Various medical stations were set up to cater to different aspects of healthcare, including general check-ups, blood pressure monitoring and distribution of basic medicines. Additionally, educational sessions were conducted to inform villagers about hygiene practices, nutrition, and the importance of regular medical check-ups.
Attendance: The event witnessed a significant turnout from the villagers of Kahnpur Khui and nearby areas. Individuals of all ages, including children, adults, and the elderly, availed themselves of the medical services offered at the camp.
Services Provided:
General Medical Check-ups: Vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse rate, and temperature were checked, and general health assessments were conducted.
Blood Pressure Monitoring: Blood pressure measurements were taken, and counseling on hypertension management and prevention was provided.
Medication Distribution: Basic medicines for common ailments such as fever, cold, and pain relief were distributed free of charge.
Outcome: The free medical check-up camp proved to be immensely beneficial for the villagers of Kahnpur Khui. Many individuals received medical attention for conditions that they had been neglecting due to financial constraints or lack of accessibility to healthcare facilities.
