REPORT ON INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION

The International Women’s Day celebration at Global College of Pharmacy, Kahnpur Khui, was a vibrant and unforgettable occasion that beautifully highlighted the students’ creativity and enthusiasm. It conveyed a meaningful message: "International Women’s Day is not just a day of celebration, but a call to action for a more inclusive and equal world.
The event honoured the invaluable contributions of women and emphasized their vital roles and significance in our lives. The festivities began with an inauguration ceremony at 2:00 pm, where the principal and faculty members addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of Women’s Day and aligning with the theme "Accelerate Action”. The key attractions of the event were the Mehndi Competition, Rangoli Competition, poetry competition, declamation, and motivational speeches by students, which took place between 2:20 pm and 4:00 pm. Pharmacy students enthusiastically participated in all activities. The Mehndi Competition showcased the exceptional artistic skills of the participants, who crafted intricate and mesmerizing designs.
Similarly, the Rangoli Competition brought forth vibrant artistic expressions, as participants used colourful powders and innovative themes to create captivating designs that added to the festive spirit. The poetry competition, declamation, and motivational speeches by the students were truly inspiring. Their courage to present their thoughts before an audience was commendable, and the clarity and conviction in their delivery were remarkable.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, recognizing and celebrating the
creativity and efforts of the competition winners. It was a true reflection of the college
commitment to nurturing creativity, enthusiasm, and respect for women. Heartfelt gratitude is
extended to Chairman J.S. Gill and Principal Sanjiv Duggal for their unwavering support in
making the event successful. Special appreciation is also extended to Professor Jasmine Dhiman (NSS In-charge) and the dedicated faculty members for their outstanding efforts in organizing this meaningful and celebratory event on campus.
